Passenger fight, escorted by F-16 Aircraft

WASHINGTON - Two F-16 fighter jets escorted a United Airlines plane back to Dulles International Airport outside Washington, after a fight broke out between two passengers on the flight destination was Ghana, officials said on Tuesday (31 / 5).

Police find two passengers in the exit when the plane with the arrival of Flight 990 landed back in Dulles, on Monday morning local time, but none of the two passengers were injured and they also are not arrested, said an airport spokesman, Rob Yingling. The plane took off from Dulles on Sunday night.

Two F-16 fighter jets sent from Andrews Air Force Base after United's pilot reported a disturbance, said a spokesman for the North American Air Defense Command, U.S. Marine Major William Lewis. They escort the United Airlines plane back to Dulles, where the plane landed safely, said Lewis.

"They followed a special producer in the event of disruption," said Lewis. "That's usually done when there is violation of airspace."
